It's winter. Large snowflakes fall softly from the sky and settle like a heavy carpet over the forested valley. There is absolute quiet throughout the snowy landscape where the animals have gone to bed until the sun reappears and lets its rays sparkle all over the fallen snow. The cold, the snow, and the naked trees are proof that this is the hardest time of the year and that it can only get better from here - spring is on the way.

Nevertheless, six little smurfs have defied the cold and the weather and are now slogging through the snow toward Gargamel's house. Because something is wrong. There may not be a spring this year!
