Description

Dice Apocalypse is a 2-4+ players one-page party game.

In order to play, you will simply need a few sets of polyhedral dice (better to have one for each player), a timer, various snacks, a plate each and from one to three friends to play with.

Before you play, gather at least six different types of snacks. Chips, popcorn, gummy bears, nachos, chocolates, cookies... whatever you can find! It’s the end of the world, you don’t exactly have the luxury to pick what you want to eat! If the only thing you have handy is broccoli, you’ll need to make it do.

Place the six snacks on the table in what we’ll refer to as central storage from now on. At the beginning of the game, those resources are no one’s. Who could have predicted that you’d find yourself needing to stock up on food all of a sudden? For this reason, when playing you will obviously need to wait until your opponents have collected some resources before you even think about stealing from them.

Both when taking resources from the central storage and when stealing them from your opponents, you’ll need to act with a “while supplies last” method. If the units run out before the number on the dice, you’ll have to be happy with whatever you managed to take.

Each community of survivors has an arsenal of seven weapons, each represented by a polyhedral die and equipped with an effect that will allow the user to gather resources from the central storage or to steal them from their opponents.

You can only use one weapon per turn and the used weapons will be discarded by the player, who will only be able to use them again when the whole set has been used. Since the turn begins by eating 1 unit from your resources, a player that finds themself starting their turn with an empty plate has lost.
