Dice Petanque

A dice-throwing game for up to four players. In each round the diamond is thrown into the field, and each player gets to throw their two dice, hoping to land closest to the diamond.
Positive points are scored for having the die closest to the diamond or for having both one's dice show the same number. In either case the player scores the sum of their dice.
Negative points are scored for throwing one's die outside of the field (the die's value) or for throwing or knocking the diamond out of the field (five points).
