Dim Those Lights

Game ID: GID0096108
Collection Status
Description

This is a variation on a ring or ball toss game. The ability to have dimmed headlights was brand new and somewhat controversial in the early '30s, so it made for a trendy subject. The game includes a stand-up board or target with lithographed art showing three cars surrounded by a squad of five motorcycle cops. The headlights of each vehicle are labeled with a point value of 10 or 20 and each has a cupped tin tray underneath to catch a small disc and hold it in place.

The goal is to take your set of heavy cardboard discs - red or yellow - and score points by tossing them at the target and covering the headlights of the three cars. However, misjudging your aim and covering the headlights of the police motorcycles will instead accrue negative points!

The winner of the game is the first player to reach 100 points.
