Dire Mongooses is an adventure about dealing with a pack of magically-enhanced wild creatures being used by a reckless wizard to fight against an incursion of serpentfolk. When they slip control of the wizard’s oversight and begin harming a nearby village, several parties wish to see them removed and seek aid in exterminating them.
This is a short, system agnostic adventure for any fantasy roleplaying game. It is designed to be played in a single session, or perhaps in a few short sessions. The adventure contains a central plot hook, a series of detailed NPCs featured in the scenario, instructions for setup and establishing the scene, a progression of scenes accompanied by GM guidance, and a conclusion with suggested adventure rewards and plot threads that can be further developed. Maps and other reference material are included to help run the adventure. The document is a printer-friendly black and white, for ease of use in print as well as digitally.
