The Directors Handbook has very few "rules" but much advice for Directors of the Theatre of the Adsurb. Major topics in this short document include non-player character development, developing a setting, creating and running adventures, and handing out experience points.
The Director role in the game is supposed to rotate among players every approximately four game sessions which is a form of game balance.
