Description

From publisher blurb:

Almost 100 disadvantages for your Heroes and Villains, which, when selected at Hero's Creation, grant extra points for advantages. Organized both alphabetically and according to the points granted.

In 7th Sea, Heroes are larger-than-life characters, performing awesome things one after another. But are they perfect? Some of them, perhaps. But a lot of players like playing imperfect characters, ones with a fault, who - despite that disadvantage - still try to make the world a better place. It adds depth and makes roleplaying more fun, but sometimes a bit more challenging. However, this raises a question: if a player makes a Hero who is afraid of fire, perhaps they should be awarded with a small reward to alleviate the difficulty and sweeten the challenge. I hesitate to use the word “balance,” because 7th Sea is not about balancing Player Characters, but about telling awesome stories. And what is more awesome than a Hero who overcomes their disadvantage and emerges victorious at the story’s end?
