From publisher blurb:

AN EPISODE FOR FOUR TO SIX WANDERERS FOR THE PADDOCK SETTING

Deep in the Paddock countryside, odd things are happening in the sleepy Stroblius village of Columi. Located outside of the city, deep in the forestland, Columi is a small town mainly inhabited by Mycelin families. Columi is a village of tradespeople - families of farmers, metalworkers, craftspeople, bakers. In a cohesive village that relies on relationships, living in a laid-back, compassionate world helps to avoid conflict and makes resolution an easy thing. In Columi, as the village encounters incident after incident of strange magic, the villagers have closed ranks while turning on anyone suspicious and refusing all outsiders. As their desperation grows, tensions between villagers and families increase, leaving the town in a frantic search for a solution to the magic plaguing their town.

The party, either arriving together or separately, enters an isolated tavern in the rolling hills of Stroblius in search of grub and a bed for the night. If the party is arriving separately, ensure they are ultimately seated together and strike up conversation for a moment before moving forward. During dinner, as the wanderers are chatting and eating, they are approached by three young friends, clearly desperate and worn down. The three friends describe that their town is slowly being corrupted by a strange, evil magic and some villagers have reported seeing an old, unknown matron around town during the times this magic surges. Its inhabitants have been terrorized by what some describe as a metal mycelin knight, and beg for the party's help in dealing with the wicked magic plaguing their town. Allow the party to discuss the job amongst themselves but ensure that they ultimately decide to accept.
