It suggests that an older sibling or relative reads out the cards.
A double word is one that consists ot two separate words making up one word. Clues, riddles really, are on each card. This is read out. The first player to call out the double word, wins a counter and the first to win 5 counters wins the game.
Example of a double word
One word = Salad
Other word = Öl
Together they make Salatöl (a dressing for salads).
