Publisher's blurb:

The world of BIONICLE is one of endless mystery and heroism in ways that few other works can claim. Noble Toa, villainous Makuta, power-mad Barraki, pragmatic Dark Hunters, and the backdrop of science-fantasy in which they wage their war for creation enraptured the minds of children for over a decade, and breathed into them the possibilities that such a world could promise. After over another decade, fans of both BIONICLE and of storytelling alike have come together to offer you the Doronai Nui (the Matoric phrase for “The Great Story of Everything”), our take on a BIONICLE Tabletop Role-Playing Game.

In the BIONICLE universe, villagers called Matoran live in elemental tribes and are protected by heroes called Toa. Each Toa controls one of the elements and possesses powerful masks that they use to combat the forces of evil. A variety of other species inhabit this space as well, each with their own abilities and motivations - from the well-intentioned to deceitful or outright villainous. In this role-playing game, players will be able to create their own character and participate in various events throughout the history of the BIONICLE universe, as well as make their own history in the
Great Story of Everything.

Be advised that the Doronai Nui is a rules-heavy system that may not be suitable for all players, especially those who are new to tabletop role-playing games. Much of the terminology used here is derived from both real and fictional languages, and may be jarring to readers who are unfamiliar with the source material. The game is intended to be played by multiple people, with at least one acting as a Game Master who builds the world and directs what the players encounter in it - it is not built for single-player experiences. The Doronai Nui is also relatively complex, with a number of subsystems and additional features that interact in various ways; although we are continuing to add ways to make the game more approachable and user-friendly, anyone looking to use the system should keep this in mind. If you feel lost at any point, refer to the Quick Start Guide (coming soon!) to help find what you’re looking for, as it explains the basics of the system and contains a glossary of commonly-used game terms for easy reference.
