Description

Dr.野口っち (Dr. Nogucchi) どくたーのぐっち (Dokuta no Guchi) is a game from Japan which includes a model microscope. Players use the fake microscope to study specimens, looking for the cure, the silver bullet to cure a terrible disease (the game was first published in 2017!).

Players look through the microscope to identify different viruses. If a player is confident that they have the cure, they declare and gain 2 points if correct, or lose 1 pt if wrong. Other players can still find the cure and gain a point. The first to get to 5 points is the winner.

The specimens are card hexes with different combinations of microbes showing in each part. When a player peeks into the microscope, the card is rotated, so they only see a section at a time. Remember what you have seen in the scope is important to the game.

There are tokens for the microbes and for coloured test tubes of drugs. Players build up a collection of drugs and bugs behind their laboratory screen. When a player is confident they have the right combo to complete the cure, they can declare.
