Dragon Ball Z Gaiden: Saiyajin Zetsumetsu Keikaku (ドラゴンボールZ外伝 サイヤ人絶滅計画), translated as "Dragon Ball Z Side Story: Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans", is a video game developed by TOSE and published by Bandai for the Japanese Famicom on August 6th 1993. It is based on the Dragon Ball Z anime TV series and is a follow-up to the game Dragon Ball Z III: Ressen Jinzōningen.
This is a role-playing video game which uses card battle mechanics, a hallmark of this TOSE-produced series of games. In a first for a video game based on the DBZ series, the story is an original work which features new events and villains not seen in the anime or manga. This game is also the last DBZ game to be released on the Famicom and the final installment in what has come to be called the "Gokūden" series.
