Dragon Ball Z: Hyper Dimension is a 2D fighting game that was developed by Tose and published by Bandai for the Super Famicom/Super Nintendo in 1996.
Hyper Dimension has ten playable characters (Son Goku, Vegeta, Gotenks, Son Gohan, Vegetto, Piccolo, Mr. Buu, Buu, Freeza, and Cell) and four game modes: Story Mode, Versus Mode, Practice Mode, and Tenkaichi Budokai (tournament mode).
The game engine involves balancing energy attacks with your life meter as they are interwoven. Health (energy) can be recharged, and the game has a four button attack layout for kicks, punches, ki blasts, and bashes (these let you destroy ki blasts that are aimed at you). Hyper Dimension has a flight mode in addition to basic ground fighting.
