Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden 3 is the third and final game in the Super Butoden series of 2D Dragon Ball Z fighting games developed by Tose and published by Bandai for the Super Famicom/Super Nintendo.
Super Butoden 3 uses the same attack setup as Super Butoden 2 with a button assigned to kicks, punches, flying, and ki blasts. The biggest addition to the fighting system from the second game is the grappling system. If two characters ever move into each other, they will begin grappling. The first player to input their grappling maneuver wins. Every character has a separate grappling attack animation.
The roster contains ten characters from the Dragon Ball Z universe: Majin Buu, Chibi Trunks, Future Trunks, Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Goten, Android 18, Dabura, and Kaioshin.
The game has two modes of play: VS and Tournament.
