From the introduction:
Dragon Fist is a game inspired by Hong Kong martial arts movies, especially those of the wuxia genre. This is a game of high-flying kung fu fighters, cackling eunuch sorcerers, weird hopping vampires, and awful demons who are dead only when they blow up. Realistic? Hell no! This is pure cinema. If you want a precise simulation of martial arts, look elsewhere. If you want to have a blast playing an action hero, read on.
User summary:
Dragon Fist, sometimes Dragonfist, "The Roleplaying Game of Martial Arts Action," was a free roleplaying game released by Wizards of the Coast as a series of free PDFs on their website in 1999. [...] The rules are a modified version of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons (2nd Edition). The default campaign has the player characters fighting against/climbing a 'Villian Tree', starting with corrupt city magistrates and eventually (at 10th level) fighting the corrupt Emperor Jianmin in his eternal throne.
Once all of the PDF pieces were released, two compiled versions appeared - a 139-page version and a 141-page version (identical save the addition of a two-page, print-and-play character sheet).
