Dragons of Arcania is a competitive tile-laying game in which players take on the roles of draconologists and explore mythical dragon lairs.
Gameplay is divided into 2 phases: turn-based Tile Draft and simultaneous Tile Placement. Placement is NOT final until the end of the 2nd phase. Players use spatial reasoning to puzzle together dragons parts and form colorful specimens on 5x5 grids.
Completed dragons are worth varying amounts of points depending on their color combinations and chains. Color sequencing mechanics follow the natural order of the rainbow, so the more visually appealing the dragon, the higher it scores! Players can also earn additional points by completing secret & public objectives, turning sheep into tasty Snacks or grabbing the 1st place on the Speed Bonus track. The player with the most gold wins the game!
