There are many interpretations of witches and witchcraft, however I believe druids draw the closest to the ideal representation of witchcraft. Or, at least, my ideal representation of witchcraft.
This subclass draws heavily from the Discworld interpretation of witches, and introduces features which utilize headology, borrowing, and the squinting glare essential to the abilities of Pratchett's witches.
The overlying concept that guides this class is that magical abilities should be made to appear trivial while the actual mundane abilities of a witch (things accomplished with little effort but great presentation) should be made mystical and amazing. Many of the things this class can do cannot be done by other features in the game, or not in the way that other features allow them to be done. Wisdom and Insight lead the way for these features and enable the witch to outwit any creature that doesn't know what they know.
This is a perfect subclass option for players that want to lay into their Wisdom stat and that favor roleplaying over combat (though there is plenty of combat support baked into the druid class).
