Description
"Dyade: the captivating game for strategists
One 'dyad' (Greek: a pair of units) consists of 2 figures connected by a chain."
Dyade is a draughts/checkers variant with a twist - pieces are made up two metal posts joined by a chain link, and opposing pieces stand on squares of opposite colors. A move consists of moving one post of any piece, only as far as the link allows. Captures are made by crossing enemy links with your own. Pieces (dyads) that reach the far end of the board are promoted to gold pieces that have the extra power of moving both posts in one turn.
