Description

A system of rules for modern aerial combat using aircraft miniatures or using paper & pencil on large sheets of paper (alternately, grease pencils on clear plastic sheets).

There are 20+ pages of rules and 4 different 2-sided data charts (2 copies of each).

Aircraft information for modern era (pre-1980) aircraft provides performance (speeds, maneuvering) and armament data (number of guns, range, damage). Players recreate historical or hypothetical aerial battles using NATO, Warsaw Pact or other air forces.

Shorter scenarios use primarily 1-2 aircraft per player.

Larger numbers of players would allow different types of aircraft, such as bombers and escorts being attacked by defense fighters. These smallest of these actions (scenarios) can last 120+ turns and involve an area of 200" x 300" (19.7 ft x 25 ft.).

1 Turn=10 seconds
1 Unit=2 miles

For miniatures play, the editor recommends a large floor area with 1 unit=10 cm (or 4-5 inches).
