Effetto Terra is a game aiming at increasing our carbon footprint awareness.
Competitive version
Each player receives 5 CO2 cards and places them face-down with the CO2 side value covered. In the centre of the table a random face-up card is placed with its CO2 value in view.
The goal of the game is to succeed in playing all the cards in your hand before anyone else.
On your turn, choose a card in your hand and place it in the centre of the table in line with those already present so that all the cards issuing less CO2 are to its left and all those which issue more to its right.
After you decide where to place your card, turn it down immediately. If you have placed it correctly, the card remains in play and you haven’t to draw nothing, while if it is wrong it’s discarded and you have to draw a new card from the pack.
Cooperative version
The team that faces the first mission, as shown in card n.1, draws 4 CO2 cards without disclosing the related values.
The goal of the team is to place cards in order from the lowest to the highest CO2 issued value. For each level, the team will have to locate the number of indicated cards from the related mission card in the centre of the table, always face-down – the goal is to lay out the cards in rising numerical order, from the left to the right.
The team can talk to take decisions on the layout of the cards.
