Description

Your goal in Egalicon is to capture all pieces of one type from your opponent. Each player starts with twelve pieces on a 6x6 game board: four each of diamond, scissors, and paper, with diamond pieces able to capture scissors, scissors able to capture paper, and paper able to capture diamond.

On a turn, move one of your pieces, one of your towers, or only the top piece of one of your towers. You can move this piece or tower onto an adjacent space that:

is empty,
that has one of your own pieces or towers, or
that has an opposing piece or tower that you can capture.

When you move onto your own piece, those pieces form a tower; either player can look at the pieces within a tower prior to moving. Building towers allows for faster movement of multiple pieces on the game board at the risk of having multiple pieces removed at once, although you can split towers bit by bit by moving only the top piece on a turn.

When you capture an opposing piece or tower, you remove all of those captured pieces from the board. Capture all opposing pieces of one type to win.
