El Gran Asado (The Big Barbecue) is a 2-4 player game where players must bet cards to get resource tokens, and then they must exchange those tokens to get more elaborate resource tokens. They can also play action cards to get money or harm other players. The first player to get a Bread, Steak and Wine token and have more than $ 1,000 wins the game.
Each player starts with 5 cards in hand, $ 250 and a resource board. Put the betting board on the center of the table, along with the Asado card.
Each round is played in two phases:
Card Play Phase
During their turn, each player can trade tokens, sell resources to the bank, and play action cards.
Betting Phase
When all players played their cards, the resource betting phase starts. Each player will bet their resource cards (Wheat, Calf, Vineyard and Producer) in the betting board. After betting their cards and throwing the die, the player will claim the corresponding prizes in tokens, and place them in their resource board.
Before ending their turn, they can trade again tokens for more elaborated resources using the cards in their hands, or sell tokens to the bank to get more money.
Once all players have finished betting, all cards are returned to the deck. The obtained tokens remain in their resource boards. A new round starts and 5 cards are dealed to each player.
