In 1968 and 1969, two murders occur in a swamp near Memphis. Evidence points to the same killer, and soon evidence and bodies pile up. Among the witnesses is a woman implicated, and although everything points to an alienated killer, the motive for the deaths seems mundane. As they move through this Midwestern American city, the agents in charge are tasked with finding the culprits.
Will they succeed, or will one of them escape?
