Description
Following on from the successful board game version (1982) of the TV game show, Countdown was also released in an electronic handheld format.
Featuring the three famous games - word, number and conundrum - you can either play solo or compete against another player using two units connected via a link cable. As with the TV show, the database is derived from the New Oxford Dictionary of English. A large 3-line LCD display makes playing easy and 15 separate three-color LEDs act as the countdown timer.
It also includes a hall of fame feature, a fast intuitive entry system, sound effects taken from the TV game show and the Countdown theme tune.
