In 390 AD, your are controlling a Roman provice, as the Western Roman Empire is begining to collaps from migrating Germanic tribes, while the Eastern Roman Empire is being invaded by the Huns.
You try to make your province into a new "Elysium", while surviving in the political chaos that will end the Western Roman Empire in 476 AD!
You will be defending your provinces against pillaging hordes of Vandals or Huns - or against the declining Roman emperor, while you at the same time tries to build up your empire and making your subjects happy and keep them away from rebelling.
An optional goal is to conquer the other provinces and thereby building your own empire.
