Goal of this French pirate themed game is to gather the highest reputation after 3 or 4 expeditions.
Each round consists of 2 phases. The first one is the expedition where the players resolve tasks from event cards and try to amass as much as possible of gold. The second phase is about "The Tavern" where you try to defend your gold or steal it from other players.
During the game you may hire pirates or one of your fellow pirates may become captain. When embarking you try to get the best places for your mates. Maybe there is a mutiny or even the destruction of the ship. Lucky you are when a port is near to save your life and repair your ship.
Event cards offer tasks for the crew and if they succeed they gain gold or reputation, but if they fail they may also lose it.
