The Ethereal Hunt goes by many names, the Wild Hunt, Ghost Riders, Reapers; all can trace their myths back to a simple hunting cabin in the woods —where the hunt is always looking for their next master.

Or their next prey.

The story is always the same. A small cabin is found in the woods. Smoke is rising from the chimney, and the door is unlocked. Nobody responds if someone knocks and a fire burns in the hearth upon entry. The single room is sparsely furnished, with just a chair, cot, and a single table. On the table is a necklace with a single arrowhead on it.

The necklace detects as magic and, if taken, nothing happens until they leave the cabin. Soon after, a hunter approaches the character, followed by three hounds.

If allowed, the hunter introduces himself as a member of the Hunt, and the character’s personal huntsman. He explains the holder of the necklace can summon him at will, and he will hunt for him, whether it would be prey with four legs... or two.
