The characters have discovered that "certain circles" in Zermark have hired a gang of orcs to attack and burn down the village Ervod. Ervod's unique charter to trade without being greatly taxed may well be the reason - it certainly is not popular with the ruling nobility.

This scenario initially appeared in Tabu (Issue 11 - Jul 1988) and was subsequently made available as a separate free download in 2015. It is the third part of a series of adventures involving in the town of Ervod. The scenario includes a brief description of events in the first two adventures.
