900 years after the founding of the Order of the Knights Templar in 1129, a notebook is found in Midlothian, Scotland. It was written by Georges de Laprée, one of the last knights of the order, and begins with the following words: "Rosslyn, 1341, I, Georges de Laprée, have travelled the world to protect the treasure of the Templars from envious and wicked men, according to the orders I received at the beginning of the year 1307. It is neither a lie nor excessive pride to write here that the treasure cannot be recovered by anyone other than a knight of the Order."
