Esoteric is a roll and write game where detectives draft from five rolled dice to gain resources in polymino shapes on their player sheet in the exploration phase, then use those resources to gather evidence with polymino shapes in another grid on their player sheet. These collected pieces of evidence are used to score in different ways at the end of the game.
