Description

From publisher blurb:

Do you love playing Fifth Edition, but find it difficult to create a character on paper that fits the fantasy in your mind?

Have you ever wished your character felt less generic and more thematic?

Do you enjoy magic, but dislike managing spells?

Me too! That's why I created these Essential Classes.

Essential Classes focus on the “essence” of who and what a character class is. They are not designed to be balanced with other classes (although they are designed to be highly effective!). They are designed to be richly flavorful, to capture the feeling of the class using elements from history, mythology, literature, and film.

This player resource contains four (4) original character classes for Fifth Edition (5E), including standard character creation options, and abilities from Level 1 to Level 20.

These classes are the:

MERCENARY, a skilled fighter, dirty brawler, and deft thief who would fit in right alongside warriors like Robert E. Howard’s iconic barbarian Conan the Cimmerian.
NECROMANCER, a conduit for Death itself, commanding corpses and spirits, creating hideous tools and structures from dead matter, who could walk the same paths as Michael Moorcock’s Elric of Melnibone or the dark sorcerers of Clark Ashton Smith’s Zothique.
OCCULTIST, a grim scholar and supernatural investigator armed with countless holy (and unholy) trinkets who combines elements of the heroes in Dracula, Hellboy, Hellblazer, and Castlevania.
SPYDER, an assassin with superhuman skills who could easily be a ninja from the book The Kouga Ninja Scrolls or the anime Ninja Scroll.
