Publisher's blurb:
The Bryttania of Excalibur Unbound differs greatly from the history we have been presented. In this account (beginning in the 7th Century AD) the peoples of the fragmented British Isles remain untouched by a history of Roman oppression or grim Monotheistic ideals of servitude. The people are still connected to Universal Magical energy bonded to the Old Gods. Though the human Kingdoms of Saxons, Norse, Gaels, and Britons dominate the land, humans are by no means the only intelligent life to be found in Bryttania. The noble Diarev dwell in forests and along the banks of rivers, safeguarding the spirits within. The Korl, a terrifying and destructive race, have made vast networks of underground caverns their home beneath the land. Trade is conducted with many lands beyond the waters which surround Bryttania, and many who visit in the name of trade choose to stay and make these verdant isles their home. Bryttania is not without it’s perils or a need for heroes, however. Conflicts between the great and good often call for the mustering of armies, and fearsome creatures such as the ancient sky-wyrms and undead drageyr stalk the furthest reaches of the land where most would fear to tread. Though an unsteady peace holds, danger is always at hand. This is why the Lady Nimue, a powerful Water Magistar, has crafted the Excalibur blade – a weapon said to be so powerful that wyrms bow before it’s light. Though considered legend by many, it is said Nimue and her Excalibur blade await the once and future Champion of Bryttania to unify the land.
