Description

From publisher blurb:

Beneath the cold expanse of the Known Galaxy, a sinister force festers in the void, its reach growing unseen like rot beneath gilded metal. This is the Doctrine of the Black Sepulcher, a religious juggernaut cloaked in celestial robes of salvation. To the uninitiated, they promise unity, eternal peace, and purpose in an age fractured by war and greed. But the truth lies hidden within their black cathedrals and nameless altars—where devotion is bled from followers, and the line between worship and servitude dissolves into ash. Their dominion spreads quietly, swallowing planets and systems in silence, their will enforced by zealots armed with both divine fervor and chilling technology. Yet, in the distant edges of the galaxy, rebellion stirs. Broken outposts and nameless moons harbor whispers of resistance, fragmented but resolute. These are the fires of the Ashen Accord, a coalition of exiles and idealists, smugglers and prophets. They fight not for power but for the most fragile of freedoms—the freedom to think, to choose, to live unshackled. And you, reluctant yet steadfast, are one of them. The Accord’s whispers have reached your ears: the Doctrine is creating something monstrous within their cloning facility hidden on a nameless planetoid in the Shattered Veil sector. This factory of flesh does not merely produce soldiers but Prophets—living icons of their faith engineered for charisma and obedience. With each Prophet birthed, the Doctrine’s grip tightens, choking out hope. If the facility’s purpose can be exposed, if the galaxy can see the truth, then perhaps the tide can turn. But this is no simple mission. The Sepulcher’s agents are watching. Their eyes are the stars themselves, their reach stretching far into the abyss. The planetoid is a labyrinth of secrets, cloaked in shadow and the Doctrine’s sorcery-infused technology. There, whispers of the harrowing experiments conducted on living beings chill the bones of even the most hardened rebels. The Ashen Accord has tasked you with this perilous mission. You carry the burden of truth, but truth is a fragile thing, as easily shattered as the hope it inspires. You must infiltrate the Doctrine’s facility, uncover its secrets, and escape before you are consumed by the darkness you seek to fight. Trust will be scarce, allies scarcer still. In the void, where faith is weaponized and rebellion walks the knife’s edge, every choice will bring you closer to salvation—or damnation. As you prepare to set forth, the void presses heavy against your thoughts. What secrets will you unearth? And what will they unearth within you? The stars seem to whisper their warnings, faint and distant. But you are already too far gone. There is no turning back now.

In this Solo Adventure you assume the role of a Character in a Dark Science Fantasy setting. You will require The Haven Fallen Core Rulebook (CRB), and any associated Expansions you wish to use to assist you, along with a pen and paper or word-processing document, to play.

The story is set up with an Introduction, a handful of location details and a few pertinent Story Points. The rest is down to you and your imagination.

The Actions you take should depend on who and what you see, and how you wish to interact. Keep a record of your story and adapt it as per the result of each Action. As you progress you will see that you are behaving as your own Storyteller, creating the interactive world in which you are playing.

Use the Character Creation section of the CRB to create your Character and use the Storyteller section of the CRB to assist with generating NPCs.
