From publisher blurb:
Fenix #2, 2021 is all about MISHAPS and UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES, which Graeme Davis and Pete Nash have interpreted in different ways. Graeme Davis went back to a lot of his previous articles for Fenix and added a lot of new and fun game play to each and every one of those mentioned here. It adds twists and fun and ever more interesting gaming sessions ahead. Pete Nash took another route, diving straight into the humorous spells of faeries from Lyonesse, creating even more tongue in cheeks mishaps and interesting situations for players who encounter them. Both are gems worth exploring.
Tales of the Unexpected – 5 pages of Graeme Davis’ gems
Unintended consequences are part of what makes a roleplaying session fun and interesting, from a rescue mission that turns out to be a kidnapping to an imaginative player finding a way to turn a 1st level spell into an unstoppable murder weapon. In the few years that I have been writing for Fenix, I’ve made more than a few suggestions that can have unintended consequences. Perhaps one consequence of reading this article will be that you are inspired to dig out your back issues and look at them with fresh eyes! All of them are available on Drivethrurpg – in the issue of Fenix where they were first published (mentioned in the article, if you would like to explore any of them further).
Mishaps – 5 pages humorous hodgepodge of fairy spells from Lyonesse by Pete Nash
This issue marks my 50th article for Fenix Magazine, all but one of which have been published since the start of 2013. Not too shabby, if I say so myself. Thus to celebrate this modest accomplishment, I shall use this issue’s theme to shamelessly plug one of the most recent Mythras publications, the monstrously comprehensive and well received Lyonesse. A campaign setting representing the world and characters as described in Suldrun’s Garden, The Green Pearl, and Madouc.
