Field Artillery

From the Introduction:

A battery of three inch field artillery pieces has been set up and entrenched on the high ground overlooking the battlefield beyond a small slope. At the back of the artillery pieces the trees of a forest provide a small measure of cover and crates of ammunition are stacked in their shade. The trees originally growing on the slope on the other hand have been cut down, to provide a clear arc of fire. A dirt road runs more or less parallel to the bottom of the slope and a low stone wall shields it from the wide, open field of battle.
