First Blood

First Blood uses numerous elements of tabletop role-playing that will be familiar to experienced gamers. Actions involve rolling 2D6 and adding a modifier and then comparing the result to a Target Number, ranging from 2 (Automatic) through 8 (Serious) to 20 (Nearly Impossible). Resisted actions utilize an opponent roll in place of the Target Number. Combat uses initiative and other more involved mechanisms.

Characters have Body Attributes (Strength, Speed, and Dexterity) and Mind Attributes (Intelligence, Wits, and Charisma. Characters also have a variety of Skills. Most aspects of character generation can be either randomized or selected.
