A Retro-Clone Adventure
For 4 to 6 PCs of levels 9 to 12
Greetings adventurers and Game Masters!
I am pleased to release the lucky thirteenth book in my OSR Series of adventures, “FOGOU OF FAITH”, a high level adventure for Old School gaming enthusiasts! In this scenario your players will inadvertently walk into the middle of warzone when they stop at the small village of Janin after a long day in the saddle, looking for a warm meal and a soft bed. Before the night is over, they’ll will end up taking on an invading force of giant kin and aberrations in the employ of and a vile crime overlord from beneath the waves, an eye of the deep named Tyrannus, who is determined to wipe the druidic settlement of Janin, and its ancient sacred fogou, right off the map!
The crime boss’ beef goes back a few years, when the druids of Janin toppled his lucrative protection racket extorting aquatic communities (such as lizard folk, crabmen, merfolk and the like). Tyrannus was forced to flee to the Under-Realm, but now he’s back with a vengeance, and he has made it his mission in life to kill the druids of Janin, defile their sacred fogou and destroy everything they care about. It was all going perfectly to plan…until a party of nosey adventurers (your players) showed up! Now they need to be eliminated as well, if Tyrannus has any hope of completing his plan and gaining the favour of this Chaotic deities, which he believes will give him the power he needs to rebuild his criminal empire here on the surface.
SYNOPSIS: After a long day in the saddle, you are relieved to see a settlement on a small tor up ahead, just as the sun is setting. You ride on, toward the promise of a warm bad and, if the smoke rising to the heavens is any indication, a hot supper. However, as you draw near, the wind shifts and the smoke blows over your company, bringing with it the stench of death! Creeping forward, you see the gates of Janin lay broken and the portcullis breached; all is not well!
Dare you enter?
