“For Those Who Stay” is a small game about being, or lying about being, a visitor from another place, time, reality, or ontological paradigm. It can be played in person or by post. Generally speaking, 3 or more players are recommended.
At any given point during the process of play, one player acts as the Traveler, and the others act as the Judges.
The Traveler claims to come from another time (usually the future) and/or another dimension. The Traveler’s job is to convince the Judges’ that they are, in fact, the real deal, usually using nothing but their words (although they may be asked to sketch out the occasional diagram).
The Judges are skeptical, but they do want to believe. Oh god, they want to believe so badly! Their job is to interrogate the Traveler in the hopes that the Traveler’s testimony turns out to be convincing enough to hang a hat on. However, they are ultimately after the Truth.
