Ford Racing was part of a series of discount genre games released late in the life cycle of the original PlayStation, being marketed to gamers who had not yet upgraded to the PlayStation 2 or another sixth generation console. The title is a standard racing game with career and exhibition modes. In the Career Mode, you build up your reputation by winning races and progress to harder races while being eligible for better Ford cars to race as you advance. As the title implies, the game only features 12 models of cars manufactured by Ford which one might conceivably race.
