Foreigner" is a fantasy RPG (tabletop RPG) created mainly by Hori Kurahito. It was released in 1987 by Hobby Japan in a boxed version. The game system is designed by Yoshimi Iwai, and the world setting is done by Isha Knight and Hori Kurahito. The box art is by Yoshitaka Amano.
It is an orthodox style fantasy TRPG set in a fantasy world in the style of medieval Europe, and is the second full-fledged domestic fantasyTRPG to be released (The first Japanese fantasyTRPG was 1984's Lords to Road).
The form of the role (action judgment) is characteristic, and its uniqueness has not been lost even to the present day.
Background:
In the world setting of Foreigner, there is little historical description. In this world, before humans appeared, there were four major gods: "Etabitoku, the god of fire", "Potznun, the god of the water world", "Ebonne, the god of the earth", and "Donna = Leben, the god of the sky". It is said that there were four major races created by the four great gods: the "Fire Sphinx", the "Water Mermaid", the "Earth Dwarf", and the "Air Elf". About 320 years ago, the first humans crossed from another world to the world of Foreigner. For example, if you excavate an old ruin, in the world of Foreigner, "it is not man-made."
