Shuffle the game cards thoroughly and form the draw pile. Set aside spell cards and resource tokens to be earned by the players. The youngest player goes first
On a player's turn, the player has two choices - either draw a game card from the draw pile and follow the instructions on the card or cast a spell card in possession and follow the instructions on the spell card
Spell cards are earned two ways - either by stepping on the Spell tile or buying spell cards using the resource tokens in possession at the end of the turn. Resource tokens are earned by stepping on the Resource tiles
The first player to cross the Victory tile wins
Cage , Diffuser, Serenity spells can be played out of turn when the player steps on a Monster tile, Diffuser tile, to counter a Rage spell from an Opponent respectively
