Contains army lists for King, Parliament and the Covenant forces plus Catholic and Protestant Irish; color plates depicting numerous flags from all of the factions, with particular attention to the London Trained Bands and 4 introductory scenarios, in colour, explore the many varied engagements of the period (Tadcaster 1642, Corbridge 1644, Dunbar 1650, Wigan Lane 1651).
