Forty Crowns The Card Game is a trick-taking card game for 2-5+ players, featuring a trump suit mechanic. Each set of cards belonging to the same suit, however, is different from the others, with a unique distribution of values and some special powers on certain cards.
The goal of the game is to collect in your pile the highest number of cards displaying one or more crowns, which represent the points to be counted at the end of each game.
The deck consists of 50 playing cards + 4 instruction and score-tracking cards. Forty Crowns can be played as single games or with cumulative scoring over a series of games, either in free-for-all or team play.
The setup is quick: just shuffle the deck and deal 3 cards to each player. Each game lasts only a few minutes.
