A fearful wanderer stomps through the woodlot. Their face is illuminated just by the screen of an old portable DVD player. Behind them, through the trees, eerie lights from streetlamps just twinkle through. In the thick darkness beyond, there are chirping crickets and frogs, but also another sound. From the glowing DVD player, long since having run down its battery, a quiet, almost unintelligible whisper can be heard. The Finder glances down only infrequently, terrified of what they might see, but unable to put down the device, freeing themselves from the Whispers. Maybe, if they just do as the Whispers ask and go to the place the eternally looping video shows, they can be free…
