I am thrilled to release the tenth book in my OSR Series of adventures, “FRAU PERCHTA’S PINNACLE”, a holiday adventure for Old School gaming! In this scenario your players will be taking on one of the most intriguing and deadly of the Yuletide folklore creatures, the Old World goddess/witch Frau Perchta, and her wild beastfolk minions the perchten! I believe it to be the very first adventure module written which lets your players face off against this ancient evil, and I am excite for folks to enjoy it!
The action will take place in the alpine village of Incendo, in the far southeastern portion of the mighty Imperium, in the author’s published campaign world of Terrans. Someone or something (or a group of things?) has been stalking and harassing the people of Incendo this Midwinter. Several people have gone missing and now, on Midwinter Eve no less, the Mayor’s wife has been murdered! Luckily, witnesses saw an old crone and a pack of animals leaving the scene of the crime in the wee hours of the morning, heading up into the mountains. With only this one clue to go one, the Mayor will come to your players, whose gear and manner mark then as “adventuring heroes” of some repute, and beg their assistance in investigating these unsettling crimes. The Mayor is inconsolable and these crimes have vexed the villagers, casting a dark pall over their Yuletide celebration. It is up to your players to solve these crimes and save Yuletide! This adventure involves an action packed delve into an ancient tower, full of secrets.
