Greetings adventurers and Game Masters!
I am happy to announce the release of the eighth adventure in my Old School Series, FREEBOOTERS'S DEN! This scenario is intended for 4 to 6 veteran adventurers of levels 4 to 6. In this module your players will find themselves in the coastal village of Freebooter’s Hollow in The Dales, the ancestral home of the dwarves, gnomes and halflings in the world of Terrans. The village gets its name from its distant past, when it was a lawless place of cutthroats, pirates and Chaotic cultists.
Synopsis: When Lawful forces took over the territory around Freebooter's Hollow they rooted out the bad elements, literally “burying the past” in the case of many of the Chaotic shrines and pirate dens. Such was the case in this village, where a piratical minotaur captain and his crew were entombed alive in the den of a Chaotic cult, where they have lain safely buried for centuries.
Recently, a wandering ankheg attacked the village’s livestock and authorities sent a trio of adventurers to deal with it. Harassed by these worthies the beast fled, burrowing down into one of these buried den of evil by mere happenstance. The adventurers gave chase…and never returned. The local Abbess has hired you to find them, destroy the ankheg and cleanse this place of evil.
This two-level dungeon delve is written to be generic and compatible with most fantasy role-playing games (FRPG). It should be useable with any FRPG ruleset. This scenario also features an exciting new magical item, the KINETIC MACE, a powerful Lawfully-aligned weapon that your players will enjoy! An Old School hex map of the adventure locale is also included, to aid those GM's whose games take place in my published campaign world of Terrans.
