Frères d'Armes is a rule of game for every period of history, romans, medieval and even Fantasy.
It's a skirmish game with collectible figures, and you can also use it for role playing.
You need about ten figurines of any sort in each team, one die (10,20 or 30)and a few coins.
28 mm figurine are all right for this game.
