With the miniatures on the table every building from the building tiles will come visible in 3D. They increase the immersive aspect of the game and are purely of aesthetic nature. They do not in any way influence the mechanics of the game.

Also the expansion contains plastic markers as workers, engineers, children & automatons for the wooden pendants in the core box.
