Description

The book opens with a Gazetteer of Furthest, walking you along each of the city’s main arteries before delving into its quarters, acropolis and sewers. The poster map of Furthest is available from Simon Bray’s RedBubble store: tiny.cc/jc-furthest-map.

An overview and map of the Kingdom of Tarsh come next, detailing the many cities, villages, temples and other points of interest in this greatest of the Lunar Provinces. Neighbouring lands are described from a staunchly Tarshite perspective: “All Tarsh is carved into three parts,” as General Fazzur wrote in the first volume of his Commentaries, and this account includes the Exiles’ bandit lands and the remote Far Place region. Poster prints are available from Simon Bray's store: tiny.cc/jc-tarsh-map

The organisation of the Kingdom is explored in depth: a mish-mash of Districts, Clans and Nobles reveals the texture and complexity of this land.

Next is an overview of Major Players in Tarsh and Furthest politics as of 1625: King Pharandros, his rivals from the Orindori Clan, key members of the Royal Household, civic leaders, military commanders, and two notorious criminals, all suitable as patrons or targets. Abbreviated RuneQuest statistics are included.

Jaxarte Whyded preserves a street-level view of Furthest in one of his celebrated journals describing a brief visit to the city.

A History of Tarsh in Sixteen Kings runs at pace through the glories of Tarshite history, from the foundation of the Tribe of Tarsh to the most recent events.

Minor Cults of Tarsh provides a plethora of local spirit cults and details their special Rune spells for use in RuneQuest games.

A Tarsh Bestiary describes several unique species found in the city of Furthest and the land of Tarsh, again with full RuneQuest statblocks.

Finally, Something Foul in Newmarket is a scenario exploring the streets, alleys and sewers of the city.
