To play, a game host starts the game on any platform where the game exists (Comcast Xfinity; Google Android TV; app.gensmak.com). Players should be together in person or be remote on screen so they can see and hear each other.
Players join from their phones by using a QR code or join link, and are separated into two teams of up to 6 players per team. Each player identifies their generation.
Points are earned by getting an answer correct (1 point), not using a hint (1 point), and answering a question from a generation not represented on the team (1 point). Teams use strategy based on generations, difficulty level, and category, to choose questions. First team to 15 points wins.
